    How to manage teething

Trying to comfort your baby during teething can be particularly difficult as babies are unable to tell us where it hurts. Teething usually takes about eight days, which includes four days prior and three days after the tooth comes through the gum4.

Some ways to comfort your baby during teething include:
    • Lots of love: Hugs and kisses may help to calm your baby if they are distressed during the teething stages.
    • Chewing: Using a teething ring or mitt can help ease the teething process.
    • Teething Gel: A pea-sized amount of teething gel such as Bubs & Co massaged into the affected gum area may provide relief and can be repeated after 3 hours if necessary. We recommend a sugar-free, alcohol-free, and colour-free formulation. (Teething 6-12 months, n.d.) Bubs & Co is alcohol-free, sugar-free and colour-free and can be used to treat the pain associated with your child’s teething with confidence.

If you still have concerns about your baby during the teething process consult your doctor or pediatrician.
